The tolerance errors in the MB, Case and Card are so that one pin is not connected. Windows can get confused when it attempts to load drivers for non-existing hardware. You can have problems if the video card has more RAM than the System. The aperature can be any size.

The aperature is just how much system RAM the video card has access to. The aperture needs to be at least as large as the RAM on the video card. The system has ram.

I have installed the lastest Hyperion 4 in 1 update from VIA and looked for the bios flash but could not find it. This sounds like it may be a tolerance buildup problem.

If you get the display from th3e startup floppy, it is nottolerance. The light on the monitor stays orange and I cannot boot into safe mode. Make sure to remove the old video card from device manager before shutting down to physically swap the hardware.
